Short version: Amazon links are paid links. Brand-store links are not. Rankings are pure math.
Amazon Associates
As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.
Prepper Prices participates in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program. Every product page has a secondary "Check on Amazon" button, which is an Amazon search for that brand and product, and some category pages have a short "Popular on Amazon" list of searches for brands we don't track. Those links carry our Associates tag and are marked as paid (sponsored) links. If you buy through them, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you.
We don't have access to Amazon's pricing data, so we never show or quote Amazon prices. Prices you see on Prepper Prices come from the brands' own stores. Check the current price on Amazon before you buy there.
Brand-store links
As of Oct 17, 2026, the main "See it at …" button on each product links straight to the brand's own product page with no affiliate tag. If we ever add a brand affiliate program, the line above the buttons will say so, and those links will be marked as sponsored too.
Rankings
The Bunker Index, Water Index, power-station list and every other ranking are calculated from brand-store prices and brand-stated figures only. Commissions never change the order, and no brand can pay to move up. We have no sponsors.
